Hi UPAC!
Save the date Thursday July 28th for the 16th Annual Governor's Native American Summit, to be held on the University of Utah campus. This Summit, held by the Division of Indian Affairs, brings together tribal leaders, community partners, government officials, educators, students, and community members to engage in a productive dialogue to help Utah's tribal communities grow and thrive.
There is definitely a role for archaeologists to play in this mix, whether it is encouraging tribal youth to attend Utah's universities for anthropology, creating employment pipelines into CRM, or even simply just being there and demonstrating that archaeologists care for the living communities descended from those we study.
